Angular Leaf Spot of Cucurbits (Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans) - Hort Answers - University of Illinois Extension
The spots expand until they are limited by larger veins, which give the spots an angular appearance. Squash and watermelon leaf lesions are more variable in size and are surrounded by yellow halos.
Bacterial Diseases of Solanaceous Crops (Xanthomonas and Pseudomonas spp.) - Hort Answers - University of Illinois Extension
The lesions are somewhat irregular and appear greasy on the upper leaf surface, with a translucent center and a black margin. Crop rotation with a non-host is effective in reducing disease incidence.Applicaitons of effectvie bactericides are recommended.
Bacterial Leaf Spot (Pseudomonas spp. & Xanthomonas spp.) - Hort Answers - University of Illinois Extension
The bacteria overwinters in dead plant material, but does not survive for long in water or soil. Never work on plants or in the garden while plants are wet since the "bruising" and other mechanical injury helps to spread diseases.
Solving Almond Problems
If the host tree is vigorous and healthy, these burrowing worms may be drowned by the sap. Weak trees fall victim to the borers' activity as they tunnel in the trunk, producing sawdust-like material (called frass) and eventually girdling the tree.
Problems of Hibiscus
Check under the leaves of hibiscus plants like rose mallow for small groups of aphids. Increase air circulation by spacing plants more widely apart, and remove the lower 4 to 6 inches of foliage to avoid contact with wet soil.
